The Protoss are very ancient and the most powerful race in the galaxy. They are very intelligent and gifted with great psionic powers, they nevertheless suffer from an inflexibility of thinking which hampers their relations with their more volatile neighbors. All Protoss share a special psychic connection to each other and their home world, Aiur. It was not proven, but protoss may be able to read the human mind. They do not use the psychic powers to fight, one reason could be because the Protoss are very religious. Their believes are not known.
